Lazada Group is a group of companies that operates Lazada, a popular eCommerce site in Southeast Asia. The group was founded in 2012. With a headquarters in Singapore, Lazada also operates in Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. In June 2017, Alibaba Group Holding has announced that it will boost its stake in Lazada Group to 83%, amplifying its focus in the region.

Over the years, Lazada has experienced aggressive growth in eCommerce industry in Malaysia. While shoppers in other countries are enjoying great customer service experience by Amazon, Zappos and other online retailers, many Malaysians are still new to online shopping. Therefore, the presence of Lazada in Malaysia has elevated online shopping experience in the country to a new level.
